Why Can't I Open a Position When My Account Has Assets?

Some users encounter an issue where they have assets in their account but cannot open a position. This could be due to the following two reasons: asset allocation is frozen, or insufficient margin.
Asset Allocation is Frozen
The assets in the user's trading account are used for other transactions, resulting in a freeze that prevents opening a position.
For example, if the user has 100 USDT in their trading account and places a limit order to buy BTC with 60 USDT in the spot market, the 60 USDT will be frozen, and the user will not be able to use it to open a futures position.
To resolve this, the user can cancel the spot market order or transfer more USDT to the trading account to open a position.
Insufficient Margin
Futures trading operates on margin, so sufficient margin is required to open a position. If there is not enough cryptocurrency to cover the margin, opening a position will not be possible. Since prices fluctuate, the required margin for opening a position also changes.
In such cases, reducing the number of contracts or transferring more funds into the relevant account can help open a position.
For example: When the available margin is 100 USDT, you can choose to open a position for 90 USDT or 95 USDT. This provides a cushion for price fluctuations and accounts for the associated fees.
